Zoo Day

Date:
Our zoo day was awesome! On Wednesday, March 20th, 2019, 7th graders met at the Elefantentor to enter the wonderful world of Berlin Zoo. We got split up in different groups and then got led through either a presentation about how animals adapt to different habitats or a little tour talking about how camels keep their food in their humps, how polar bears keep them from getting cold and why penguins don´t stick to the ice. Then we switched. Additionally, we got more than enough time to look at all of our favourite animals alone and take photos of them. Right now, in English, we are working on a creative essay about a day in the life of an animal of our choice and a drawing of them for Science.
A big thank you to Ms. Ratko and Mr. Kuin for giving us the opportunity to learn more about a different kind of environment.
