Y12 Treaty of Sevres

Date:
Year 12 had a sublime time re-enacting the historical event of Treaty of Sevres on January 27th. This was guided by Herr Diettrich, Ms. Peters, and Ms. Ratko. The Treaty of Sevres was a meeting where the delegates of the most important countries of World War I met and discussed how to divide up the territory and sanction of the Ottoman Empire. Every student had a different role and they had to write English speeches to achieve their goals. The students took turns performing their speeches which were related to certain articles of the treaty. After every speech, using the voting system based on the status of the country, it was decided whether or not the article shall pass. This event or project was a creative way to learn about history and how to write targeted speeches. Our actions determine the future and have outlasting effects. Could Year 12 change history?
