On Wednesday, March 1st, 2017, the film composer Christian Biegai came to Phorms Süd to work with the Year 9 students. The students are starting a film music unit in music class, in which they will create their own film music scores for short films. Mr. Biegai spoke with them about what it is like being a professional film composer, including the different skills you need to have, what sorts of challenges you face, and what makes it an often exciting (and sometimes stressful!) job. He showed them some examples of his own work, and gave them advice on how to approach their own film scores. We can’t wait to hear what the students come up with!
