Valérie Hardt, Head of School

Valérie Hardt, a native of North Rhine-Westphalia with German-Swiss roots, has been working at Phorms Berlin Süd since 2010.
A qualified teacher of German, geography and history, she took over as Head of Secondary School in 2014 and has been Head of School since 2020. 
Valérie Hardt appreciates the unique opportunity offered by this educational institution to accompany children from nursery school to secondary school on their academic and social education path and to be part of this diverse bilingual learning community.

Martin Lipton, Deputy Head of Secondary School

Martin Lipton joined the Phorms Berlin Süd team in 2018, after teaching in Scotland for eight years. An accomplished international sportsman in basketball and athletics, Martin leads the Sports department, alongside his role as Deputy Head of the Secondary School. Martin completed his Masters degree at the University of Manchester, specialising in Educational Leadership within international and bilingual education.

Elizabeth Burrows, Head of Primary School

Elizabeth Burrows studied German and Italian at Manchester University before completing her PGCE and qualifying year in the UK. She then studied TEFL and spent a year in Japan, teaching students from nursery age up to university level. She moved to Berlin in the summer of 2011 and started to work at Phorms Campus Berlin Süd as a year 2 class teacher. In 2016 she assumed a leadership role as the Deputy Head of the Primary School and began as Head of Primary in September 2018.

Joshua Crerar, Deputy Head of Primary School

Joshua Crerar completed his Master’s in Education with Bath University, with his studies focusing on relevant teacher training in international education. He has vast experience teaching and coordinating at the Primary level, with previous posts in Australia, England, France and Germany. He joined Phorms after leaving the British School of Paris in 2020.

Timo Bruckmann, Head of Nursery

Timo Bruckmann grew up in Berlin and completed his civil service in a Kinderladen. He then spent 1 ½ years as an entertainer abroad, where he gained international and formative experience. He returned to the social field in 2011 and completed his training as a state-recognised educator. He has been part of the kindergarten team at Phorms Campus Berlin Süd since 2012. After graduating as a social specialist, he first took over as deputy head in 2017 and has been head of kindergarten since 2020.

Nicole Häusler, Deputy Head of Nursery

Nicole Häusler completed her training as a state-certified educator in Berlin in 2001. She was able to gain her first professional experience in an integrative daycare centre with children with special needs, while supporting the organisation in founding a new daycare centre. She has been working at Phorms Campus Berlin Süd since 2008. With further training in daycare management, child protection and integration, as well as diverse management experience, including as Head of Kita Phorms Hamburg, Nicole has been working as deputy head in our kindergarten since 2020.

Kerstin Riese, Coordinator Afternoon Programme

Kerstin Riese earned her degree in Educational Sciences from Freie Universität Berlin. After a year abroad in London, she worked in an inclusive day-care centre, being responsible for children with special needs. Since 2008 she is part of our Phorms Campus Berlin Süd Team, first as Teaching Assistant and since 2010 as Afternoon Programme Coordinator. In this position she is responsible for organising all afternoon activities as well as holiday programmes. 

Christian Heine, Managing Director

Christian Heine read Business Studies (MSc) at the Fachhochschule Hannover and Southern Illinois University St. Louis. From 2009 onwards he worked in the Finance & Controlling department of  Phorms Holding SE and supported the development of the Phorms schools. In December 2013 he became the Business Manager for the Berlin Phorms schools.

Sandra Exner, Administration Manager

Sandra Exner has studied sport science, pedagogy and psychology in Berlin. She has many years of experience as a trainer for children. Since 2007, she has worked for Phorms Education. Many parents know her in her role as marketing and events manager for Phorms as well as person responsible for the school uniform. She is also a trainer for "Pfeffersport", the gym exercises for children at Berlin Mitte.

Pia Moutsinga, Admissions Counsellor

Pia Moutsinga grew up in Berlin where she completed her professional training as tax consultant and worked as a volunteer for the "Sportjugend Berlin". She was one of the first Phorms employees who joined the inauguration of Campus Berlin Mitte. Her first position at Phorms was assistant of the school administration.
