New milestone for the mycology club

Datum:
Our mycology club reached a new milestone, we have cloned and created oyster mushrooms. The journey started last may when one of our students wanted to start to grow his very own mushrooms. We took a specimen from the grocery store, cloned it on a nutrient plate, transferred this to rye berries, which were transferred to coffee grounds. The mushrooms have been growing steadily since. We are planning to diversify our cultures with other edible and medicinal mushrooms in the near future, as well as a project to create mushroom leather, as a sustainable material for a wide array of uses.
