Nailed It!

In Grade 7 Physics we have been studying thermal transfer and how it changes particle motion in gases. One great example of this happens every time you bake, so the students decided that their homework should be to make a cake. Of course, since our grade 7s are very competitive, we had to turn it into a contest. The Phorms Berlin Süd "Nailed It!" competition was born. It is based on the Netflix "Nailed It" series. Basically, you are given a picture of a cake and asked to recreate it as closely as possible. In the true spirit of Covid, we decided on a "Covid Cake." First prize was the book for their choice. Second prize was...........a cake. Everyone had fun, and a few even turned up to the next Physics lesson with green tongues. (Text by DB)
