Learning about plant and animal cells

Datum:
The Grade 6 students are learning how to identify plant and animal cells using a microscope. This involves using the microscope to find patterns in the cells. For some of the students this was difficult because "It just looks like a pink square." Then they turn to a higher powered lens and suddenly everything looks like a puzzle. Their task was to draw these "puzzles" and then compare them to what they know about plant and animal cells. - DB
