At our most recent assembly, Frau Hardt started the assembly with a German poem about bullying. Mr. Lipton then gave information about bullying in the real world and why what we are doing in school is so important. Each class then had representatives presenting what they had done throughout the week. We were given brilliant poster presentations from students of Year 7 to Year 9. We then had two excellent original songs from both classes in Y10 (which the other students can’t stop singing now!) followed by poetry and art demonstrations from the Year 11 and 12 students.
Mr. Lipton concluded the assembly by giving all students the thought that “bullying starts and stops with each individual, and what impact do you want to have on others’ lives around you?”
The student’s feedback about the assembly was that it was fun and interesting and they felt that the school connected under the same Anti-Bullying message, “All different. All equal.”
